History

The vision for The Kingdom Center began in our hearts while we were in Columbus Ohio serving with Pastor Rod Parsley at World Harvest Church.  We served there in Columbus for 12 years and felt a strong urging from God that he was calling us to make a move.  In the fall of 2007 God birthed the vision of TKC and we began to make plans.  Our prayer was that God would make ready a people that would share our vision for this city.  Many people ask the question “why Louisville, KY?”  We feel as if Louisville chose us.  Our God is a God of specific places, and we believe that this is ours.

In January of 2009 we hosted our first small interest meeting at Lake Forest Country Club with 28 people in attendance.  We followed that initial meeting up with church services on the last Saturday night of the month from Feb-Aug.  Every service was a further sign of God’s purpose.  In September 2009, we began to meet weekly with a core group of people in anticipation of our launch. In October of 2009 we officially launched The Kingdom Center!  That first service was amazing!  Since that first Sunday we have experienced the favor and power of God as he has faithfully added to us on a weekly basis!
